I'm battling my anxiety disorder like a warrior, starting today. Today I visit my psychiatrist. I'm hoping that one day soon my compulsions will stop, thoughts of suicide will go away, and I'll remember what it's like to be relaxed and happy and enjoy life. No more hair plucking, no more compulsive scratching, no more cheek biting, no more anorexia, no more panic attacks. I'll be fearless soon enough. Recovery begins today. Today's the day I start to win the war.

Well, bad news kids. I won't be able to afford Dragon*Con this year. My boyfriend and I decided that a year off would do us some good, and give us some time to really hone our cosplaying skills. I will instead be attending Anime Weekend Atlanta and SukoshiCon this year. This is a tad bit out of character for me, since I've only attended one other anime convention (Kuni Con, several years back) and I'm not exactly what you'd call an "anime fan". However, I'm excited, because it will be a break from the norm and will remind me what cons are supposed to be... conventions, not a drunken stupor grope-fest (*cough* Drunken*Con *cough*) I'll be help

Just 6 months until Dragon Con! I've got a long way to go to finish my two costumes. College is taking up a lot of my time now, and after tuition and books, I'm broke! It'll be a while before I can go buy fabric and materials. :/ So hopefully, I'll be able to finish at least one of my costumes before D*Con. Also, I need to start doing some sit-ups, since my Lady Sylvanas Windrunner costume exposes a lot of skin. And I don't think the Banshee Queen has a muffin top! I ordered some soap molds to make the giant green gems on her gauntlets, and they are perfect! I will probably try to get the resin tonight and make the gems. Wish me luck <3
